Immuno Calibration

Project with Philips, 2021

This video reflects on the possible implications of advancing healthcare technology. The Project starting point is the ‘co-emerging futures’ research model that Teon Brand developed for Philips Design.
In a future society that aspires to restore the natural balance within the earth's ecosystems, people are adapting to a life in harmony with essential micro-organisms. By practicing ‘targeted cleaning’, the use of disinfectants, pesticides and antibiotics has been drastically reduced. As a result, good bacteria are no longer washed away. To prevent the spread of harmful bacteria and viruses access to spaces, equipment and food are carefully controlled by ubiquitous scanners.
